It was a scene of pure emotion at the Kotoka International Airport as Akosua Serwaa, the first wife of the legendary Daddy Lumba, arrived in Ghana from Germany for the first time since the musician's passing.

Crowds of supporters, known as “Team Legal Wives,” gathered with placards and cheers to welcome the woman many call the "Executive Producer" of Lumba's greatest hits. In a powerful statement released on January 10, Akosua expressed her shock at the massive reception, saying she initially thought a national leader had landed.

The Legal Battle Continues?
Her return comes amidst a heated legal dispute. While the Kumasi High Court recently recognized only her customary marriage allowing for the recognition of Odo Broni as a second wifeAkosua’s legal team is reportedly preparing to appeal.

Supporters at the airport, including media personalities like Sally Mann and Ohemaa Woyeje, stood firm in their advocacy, claiming Akosua Serwaa remained the pillar behind the legend for decades.
