No matter who you marry, people will always have opinions, especially when you bring your relationship online. Some of these opinions are so toxic that if you listen to them and take them to heart, your marriage will never be the same again.
The truth is, the couple you’re criticizing, thinking they are a bad match for one reason or another, also have their own opinions about your marriage. In fact, what you see as a problem in their union isn’t even an issue to them. These are two adults united by love and choice. They have seen each other’s flaws and either ignored them, learned to manage them, or chosen not to see them at all for the sake of peace because everyone has flaws.
I came across some photos and videos of Affua Singsthon with too many negative comments about the woman’s buttocks and the man’s looks. For crying out loud, what has this lady done? She chased her dreams to fame in ways many of us wouldn’t dare. She gave it her all. We all saw how her husband stood by her every step of the way, encouraging her and giving her the support she needed.
People were offended that the man was following her everywhere. When he stopped following her, it became another issue. Suddenly, the talk changed to, “Why is the man not following her? Has she dumped him for some young, fresh-looking guy?”
She posted a picture of herself, her children, and her husband in Canada, a place most of us dream of visiting for even one hour, yet they are there enjoying life, bonding as a family. But people still have a problem with her buttocks and the man’s appearance. This is madness. Let’s call it what it is: jealousy and envy combined.
They are living their dream. You are failing at yours. Is the man complaining about his wife’s buttocks? How is that your problem? Is the woman complaining about the man’s looks? Is he your husband? You’ve married your “nice body” and “nice face,” so concentrate on that.
These people look happy, at least in public. Many of us wish for this type of relationship, but because of shyness, bad character, or fear of public opinion, we can’t even show affection to our partners. Yet when others confidently do it, we run our mouths with nonsense. Hypocrites everywhere.
