The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has been fined 5,000 Swiss Francs by FIFA for a fan invading the Baba Yara stadium pitch during Ghana's World Cup qualifier match against Madagascar on 17th November, 2023.
We seem not ready to learn as soccer loving fans but rather inflicting some unplanned cost on Ghana Football Association. This marks the second time in recent years Ghana has been penalized for fan encroachment during matches. In 2019, CAF fined the Ghana Football Association $10,000 for a fan invading the pitch during a Nations Cup qualifier against South Africa.
