WHEN AGOGO ASANTE AKYEM QUEEN SHOOK HANDS WITH QUEEN ELIZABETH II IN 1961

This article was written by Uncle Fred Kyei Mensah on his Facebook wall. A gesture to reminisce the past.

During the visit to Ghana in 1961 to Kumasi, my hometown, Agogo Asante Akyem Queen, the late Nana Abena Serwaa and her Chief, Nana Kwaku Duah, exchanged pleasantries at the durbar grounds at the Kumasi Sports Stadium with Queen Elizabeth II.

The picture below, is a testimony to my story. My grandmother the Queen, is seen here, shaking the hands of Queen Elizabeth II. It's memorable.

We are mourning. Ade3 ato yen ani.
