Highlife legend Amanzeba Nat Brew has cited Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah as the biggest black person in the world.
The highlife legend who was speaking in an interview with Prince Benjamin on the Class Drive on Class 91.3 FM, Friday, 23 September said:
“You have to understand that this is a man who had a vision; some of his quotes, unselfish quotes, because if a man is able to steer his people to gain independence and he says that’s not enough, then it means that the entire continent’s got to be free and independent then you have to realise his visionary spirit, it affected everybody; sometimes his exploits and stature is downplayed but I can tell you that there’s no black person bigger than Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah”.
According to the ‘Wogbejeke’ hitmaker, Ghana’s first president stands tall among all African leaders: “It’s so significant because you would realise that this is a person who stands out amongst all the African stars, we have numerous stars but there is one who stands apart, from all the stars that we have and is Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah, there is no argument about that.”
He continued: “He was able to affect everybody including those in the diaspora because he is not just an African, he’s a black man of the whole continent and he spurred a lot of people on to achieve….
“Nkrumah is not a politician, he was a leader even though he used the vehicle of politics to get to where he was, he was born a leader to lead the entire continent,” he stated.
Meanwhile, the highlife legend has also commended musician Sedi Adayi on the acoustic version of his ‘Dede’ track.
He said: “If I ever should receive an award, this the ultimate, this where I think that I have to fly. Somebody picks my work and does this, then it’s a huge honour.”
