A U.S. Congressional Delegation led by Senator Jim Inhofe visited Ghana
over the weekend to discuss issues of greater co-operation between the
U.S. and Ghana.
They emphasized renewing the strong ties between the
U.S. and Ghana, and discussed efforts to combating trafficking in
persons, the economy, peace and security, and other topics. Vice
President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia welcomed the delegation, and underscored
the Ghanaian government's commitment to strengthening the Ghana-U.S.
relationship for the mutual benefit of both countries.
